ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Nataliya A. Goncharuk Original work: mixed media, watercolor, acrylic, metallic holograms, decorative ornamental patterns, 41x31 cm. The drawing of the Shamakhan queen has been inspired by the poem of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin and, of course, the artist's passion to oriental dancing. A photography of my work cannot reproduce the real colors and spirit of the painting, as they may change depending on the angle of view and light conditions. Metallic holograms were used to strengthen the oriental costume beauty and supply an additional volume, depth and intensity to the painting.

Nataliya A. Goncharuk is an artist living and working in the Czech Republic. Nataliya enjoys very much experimenting in art techniques. Her favorite techniques are oil on canvas, encaustic, acrylic, watercolor and various combined techniques. As a child, Nataliya participated in numerous art competitions and exhibitions in Kharkov, Ukraine, where she was born. After moving to the Czech Republic her first big exhibition took place in Prague in 2008 (Smart art gallery, Nerudova 47, Prague). Since then Nataliya's art works have been exhibiting in several galleries in Prague. Nataliya has PhD in theoretical solid state physics from Charles University in Prague.
