ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a pastel drawing made in memory of my Grandmother Shirley. Before she passed away, I recall looking into her glassy-blue eyes. She had red hair, and this portrait makes me think of her. She was not a twin, but did often have a split personality. That is why I have drawing her in two separate positions, as if her former self is looking at her current self.
