When it's drought season she can relax and recline, tapping away the days and weeks on her dry dirt walls. She allows minute trickles through in times of total despair to remind the lower plains of a possible eminent flooding and to take precautions. There are vast areas of land that appear forgotten in nature's scheme of things but inevitably the Heavens wreak havoc. Then her expertise is put to the test of equal distribution and water-land management. Sometimes however, the torrents flow beyond control and chaotic rivers etch into the soils taking with it any links with order. Her skills are determined by her ability to restore this as best she can keeping her arm on the levers for as long as it takes.
