Contact me for more information about the work on display. The technique of drawing а pen requires great care if you want to achieve a good shaded quality. The inclination of the pen favors the draughtsman that is able to obtain beautiful tone gradations. This artwork that I present in this page is an example. The representation of two such different materials such as stone and the wind is here obtained by means of this fine technique. the subject represents in the foreground a shape that suggest a shell that opens against the background of an unnatural landscape. In the sky we see a solid presence that helps the viewer to perceive that space as possible. An object that seems to observe a scene that he himself created. This my approach to the unreal subject allows me to compare different forms with different graphic structures: a continuous exploration of the expressive possibilities of the medium. "The Opening of the Shell" has been in the show BIRORAMA: REAL AND IRREAL LANDSCAPE at the Coningsby Gallery in London from 15th July until 24th August 2018. The black wooden frame is of extraordinary workmanship, as is the passpartout in very fine white cardboard. Original Ballpoint Pen on Cardboard in A3 Format. The drawing is framed. Wood Frame, Glass, Ready to hang.
