Trees Drawing

This work started from observation through a window and went on to be developed into something of a subjective interpretation. Trees are seen as living 'creatures' reflecting the struggle to stay alive. The surrounding buildings in contrast seem relatively 'dead'. The heavy black shading emphasises the dramatic nature of the situation. I hope the viewers will appreciate all this and see the drawing as a way for them to develop their own interpretation.and meaning. The tiny figure provides a focal point and empasises the 'smallness' of man when contrasted with the potential hugeness of trees. Line drawing is a simple way to generate complex ideas.
