Emanuela is an Italian artist working between Rome and the UK. Her practice explores fashion as a visual and material language through drawing, “Fashion Paintings” and wearable works on textile. Her ongoing Fashion Painting Series (2014–2025) includes over 200 artworks, alongside a body of wearable drawings on cotton tote bags that transform everyday objects into unique artistic surfaces. In her current work, she investigates the visual poetry of traditional folk costumes, focusing on the textures, ornaments and intricate fabrics of the Abruzzo, Molise and Lazio regions. Each piece reflects a dialogue between memory, identity and contemporary expression, where fashion becomes a narrative medium. Through painting and textile experimentation, her work bridges past and present, translating cultural heritage into a contemporary visual language.
