This piece is one work from Cline's "Torso" series, in which she arranges various images and shapes to suggest the female body. The stamped or painted images Cline incorporates are often symbolic and are connotations of femininity or womanhood. The background of the piece primarily uses two watercolor pigments, with an orange tone around the edges and a line green up the center. Drips of magenta ink are scattered throughout the piece, creating an hourglass contour for the body. Ginkgo Biloba leaves and swirls decorate the border, adding to the feminine figure and flourishing the piece. The leaves are lined with the signature glitter that Cline uses, pulling the eye around the work. A pair of branches with berries hang down the center of the chest. The ends of those branches create a downward movement in the piece, pointing towards two pink roses that sit above multiple curved branches. The intended movement of the branches creates two circular shapes that frame the pink roses. It can be assumed that these are the woman's breasts, with the roses as the areolas and the branches as the outline. Beneath the breasts, there is a maroon swirl that sits above a large pink conch. The shell is flipped so that the red opening faces outward, on the lower portion of the pelvis. The alignment and strategic placement would suggest the belly button and genitalia of the woman. The conch, in particular, references the female reproductive organs. In terms of aesthetics, the pink tone and conscious positioning would connote genitalia, as the opening of the shell aligns with the anatomical placement of a vagina. The symbolic connotations of the conch also relate to motherhood, as they often connote femininity and fertility.
