They still delight in passing on snippets. These days it's more to each other as asides, rather than allowing them to fall on the shoulders of the deaf eared novice. They remember many hours deliberating at the local playgrounds and imparting little "jewels" at adjoining picnic gardens. They commiserate over the damage to their constructed cairns, that marked their decades of friendship. Every now and then there is a jostling and things appear to be rotating and slipping from their perspectives. They grab frantically at the shards of their existence and remaining memories and each other. No body has told them that they have died. It doesn't seem necessary now. If you listen carefully, you can hear them. You've been hearing them your whole life.
