Born in Bedford, UK, frequented Luton College of Art and technology, I am now living and painting in northern Italy. I am passionate about creating and interpreting feelings and nature in various art forms. Although I have a background in fashion design and clothing technology: I worked for several years in the fashion industry in London, designing initially for a famous leisurewear company of the day, Inega Jeans, and later for another fashion manufacturer, distributing casual wear both in the UK and abroad; Drawing and painting have always been my first lcreative ove. I also worked along the way in the costume department of two films, during college years, one based in what was then the London Ealing Studios, where I worked on the beautiful historic costumes for the film Barry Lyndon, and a few years later, I worked in the costume department on the set of Revolution (starring Al Pacino and Nastassja Kinski). Throughout my artistic journey, I have continually cultivated my skills, experimenting with various mediums and styles—particularly enjoying painting both in oils and in watercolour. I space across a myriad of subjects,. My more recnt works include landscapes, (often plein-air), abstracts, as well as geodes, dutch pouring art and a variety of sketching forms. I have always ibeen n awe of all the great masters and am inspired by them all. Recently I have been studying Dutch painting as well as other classical influences. These have influenced and shaped my artistic voice. Currently, I am also producing a variety of commissioned large and small abstracts using the Dutch Flow method and Geodes with glass crystals and natural resins or liquid glass. I am deeply committed to protecting our planet and always strive to use natural products whenever possible. My studio is free of turpentine and other harmful chemicals. To mix with oil paints, I only use natural oils—linseed, walnut, and poppy. I also avoid totally any toxic chemicals so use only so called "natural resins", that have non harmful odor. I prioritise using earth pigments and natural oil colours, even natural acrylics, minimising synthetic materials. Among merits received, In 1992, I achieved a significant milestone by winning a year's exhibition space at a New York gallery through an international competition. Although I have explored many fields, today I paint freely, experimenting with different mediums and styles.
