Born in Bedford, UK, frequented Luton College of Art and technology, I am now living and painting in northern Italy. I am passionate about creating and interpreting feelings and nature in various art forms. Although I have a background in fashion design and clothing technology: I worked for several years in the fashion industry in London, designing initially for a famous leisurewear company of the day, Inega Jeans, and later for another fashion manufacturer, distributing casual wear both in the UK and abroad. I also worked along the way in the costume department of two films, during college years, one based in what was then the London Ealing Studios, where I worked on the beautiful historic costumes for the film Barry Lyndon, and a few years later, I worked in the costume department on the set of Revolution (starring Al Pacino and Nastassja Kinski). I am deeply committed to protecting our planet and always strive to use natural products whenever possible. My studio is free of turpentine and other harmful chemicals. To dilute oil paints, I only use natural oils—linseed, walnut, poppy etc.. I also avoid any toxic chemicals, even when I work with resin I use only so called "natural resins", that have no odor. I prioritise using earth pigments and natural oil colours, even natural acrylics, minimising synthetic materials. Among merits received, In 1992, I achieved a significant milestone by winning a year's exhibition space at a New York gallery through an international competition. I have been published in numerous art books and received many critiques of merit. I have participated in many national an international exhibitions including the USA tour in 2025.
