About The Artwork

Illustration was inspired by song lyrics "Hey" by Pixies. It is about difficult relation between man and woman. Even though there are women around him: in his head, in his bed and at his door he doesn't want her to leave. He says that they are chained. Two hares are quite similar, they are symbols of two different beings who faced different directions but in fact they are looking at each other. They can be understood not only as a man and women but any two beings. One of them can't live without another. It can be representation of relation between people, a person and animal or even human being (creature) and God. Words above and under those heads are tethered with net of thin lines, they create something like a tissue made of singular cells.
