Étude de Fesses I Drawing

Gesture is not only the connective idea between the parts shown in a drawing, but is also the force that leads us to seek relationships in our very lives. This kind of thinking led me to experience drawing as a means to reflect about my perception of the world: To understand the front, I have to accept that there is back that I can’t explain. Something can only be in light if something else remains in the dark. In a world that is constantly looking for absolute truths, this practice helped me see, as hopefully the viewer will too, that there must be a balance, or at least an acceptance of the unbalance of our ideas about life that we would do well to learn.
