About The Artwork
The idea for this work started from a perception of a progressively desensitized human been that exists in a social context dominated by corporate technology and mass consumption. The broken/crippled doll, covered in bandages and with wires coming out (or inside) it's body, confieded to a black box conveigh the feeling of a sillenced and isolated existence. At the same time the aparently serene and happy look on the doll's face seems to create a feeling of allienation and conformity.
