About The Artwork
Cross #3 is a wooden slab covered in old magazine articles and centerfolds. Magazine representing the general media, the wooden slab was then painted lightly over in white; with a cross then painted in the center. An axe is placed to the left of the piece, for anyone wanting to interact with the piece; however they wish to interact with it. Cross #3 examines the role of media, and how its viewers take part in that role. “We have the option of just looking at it, or take action and break it down.”

Born in Seoul Korea, Bo Lee moved to Philadelphia at the age of 6. He attended Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn, NY and worked in commercial post-production. Bo makes video art which have been showcased at Scope in Basel, Switzerland, as well as receiving a retrospective at PopMinuto in Prato, Italy among being shown at galleries and spaces in Helsinki, Bucharest, Seoul, New York, Poland, Germany and the U.K. After living in South Korea for the past 5 years, he is now working out of Hamilton, NJ.
