About The Artwork

Installation «Death and the forms of her life» The transformation of memory. We arrived here in the fall of 2017 from Moscow when my grandfather died and Ba was left without care. The ba was like a mom to me, and this last year made me her mom. She had not walked for a long time, after a stroke, physical processes were difficult. The food is only mild. “I’m tired, it’s hard for me,” she said. The mood is changeable, but still, we sometimes sang, watched a movie, wrote letters. She wrote a letter in the form of a pipe at dinner. Marker small letters, you can make out only fragments of “waiting for an answer”, “love”, “Lyuba”. In the installation, a reproduction of a letter on canvas 1x1 m. This is memory, information. A year later, Lyuba died. She freed herself from pain and suffering. From a sudden emptiness and in order not to be sad, we began to walk and explore the area. The brutality of being was especially acute after the funeral. It was autumn. The objects we found became symbols. Characterize the nature of this area. Life is here and now. The human body is immersed in the earth and it becomes the Earth. Trees are the main source of life on Earth. We can breathe and live thanks to them. The root shape of the tree is determined by the nature of the area: sunny days, frost, water, wind. The longest root is almost 3 meters, he was drawn to favorable conditions, to the source of life for him - water. Pampas grass is the simplest form of life here. Many of its seeds are spread and germinate in large quantities. Seed can reach a person or animal and travel long distances. So she travels and explores new lands and continents.
