About The Artwork

Muammar Mohammed Abu Minyar Gaddafi (1942 – 20 October 2011), commonly known as Colonel Gaddafi, was a Libyan revolutionary, politician, and political theorist. He governed Libya as Revolutionary Chairman of the Libyan Arab Republic from 1969 to 1977, and then as the "Brotherly Leader" of the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya from 1977 to 2011. He was initially ideologically committed to Arab nationalism and Arab socialism but later ruled according to his own Third International Theory.

Papa Osmubal (aka Oscar Munoz Balajadia Jr) is a poet-artist residing in Macau-SAR, China. He is also into occidental calligraphy, doing both modern and old (classical) scripts. His most recent art exhibition, called 'Hide and Seek', a two-man exhibition with fellow Macau artist Leong Fei In, was in September 2022, sponsored by and held at Creative Macau, the Center for Creative Industries, Macau-SAR, China. His book called 'Capampangan Roots' is the winner of the 2017 Philippine National Book Award, Language category. He has an MA in English Studies from the University of Macau (Excellent),and a post-graduate diploma in education from Universidade de Sao Jose (graduated with a Grade Point Average of 19, with 20 being the perfect grade). As an artist, he has done a number of group and solo art exhibitions. His writings have appeared in various anthologies and publications, online and hard copy. He is the author of the book series on the roots of Kapampangan language, O Jo Nu'Ca Menibat, published by Center for Kapampangan Studies of Holy Angel University in Angeles City, Philippines.
