About The Artwork

Description: I used to sledge on an upturned VW bonnet as a kid. The Pope was in the Hitler youth. Nothing more innocent than a child. The Pope was a gunner in the German army - said he never fired a shot...I guess that is right up there with Clinton's 'I never inhaled ' A sledge with a swastika on pulled by rosary beads, partially covered with the comforting lush material of the holy high office. How sinister and repulsive. This conceptual piece is meant to highlight issues with catholic faith, Nazi Germany and innocence lost. Religions have no right not to be offended.....and if they are.....forgive....http://www.bishop-accountability.org/Pope Benedict XVI People's Sledge 2009 Dominic Makin
