About The Artwork
This artwork was crocheted during the quarantine in my country, between the months of March and April. It refers to territory as a place for our feelings and connects with the idea of the domestic and the feminine. In my family, women have always knitted and crocheted and being inside my house during this lockdown has connected me and my work with this universe inside doors, this feminine world of craftwork and yarn. This piece is meant to be hung from the wall using some piece of wood to keep it straight.

I enjoy working with natural materials: wool, cotton, especially. And I include many textile techniques in my artworks, like knitting, crochet, embroidery and weaving. I get my inspiration from childhood memories, stories I heard when I was a kid, and the natural world. The subjects are mainly abstract with an emphasis in textures and colors.
