About The Artwork
Artist: Katrin Gehlen ART to WEAR connects craftsmanship of custom tailoring with oil painting on canvas or silk. Objects of art, being either free-standing sculptural pieces or extravagant wearable outfits. Each affectionately sewed up silhouette is an unique item. A sophisticated fall of folds with vibrant shadings combined with lavishly painted brushstrokes result in a magnificent symbiosis between the play of colors and the fabric. This Tulip has a marvellous curved shape. Worn as an outfit, one arm is covered. The artwork comes with the mannequin.
