Part of a series: 160.2 GHz is the frequency of the cosmic microwave background radiation that is also known as the after glow. It is the farthest thing we can see out into space with the use of radio telescopes. It is beyond the view of any galaxies. The after glow is the after effects of big bang, from 13.7 billion years ago. It is the barrier, which blocks our vision from looking any further. No matter how intelligent our telescopes become, this domain of the universe will never be visible. This to me is a lot like the mind. I can visualize certain things but you will never be able to see what I am actually physically seeing, as I will never be able to see what you are visualizing. Photographs can be made from the etchings of the mind but they will never be exactly how we invision them. The triangles within my images are like vessels of explanations that have been extracted from my mind. They are visual metaphors, which help me to describe the interior of my conscience. I feel that the cosmic microwave background is like entering the mind. If you close your eyes and try to visualise an image all you see is dark matter as you begin to search the mind for imagery. You begin to imagine deeper thoughts with more detail but you don’t know how. The image isn’t a crisp perfect image inside your head, you begin to under go a visual journey to try to focus on producing clearer information, but some how it is impossible. The visuals remain blurry, fragmented and unclear in meaning a lot like our dreams. ▲⃝ ▲⃝ ▲⃝ Lara Clarke-Wardle All Rights Reserved 2011 ©

Visual Artist working within photography, mixed media, video, illustrative techniques and installations. Images are like dark extracts of the mind with poetic levels, which subtly affix, and intrigue. Blending figure and forms - texture - nature, amalgamated with spontaneous exploration of being. I like to work both in the studio and on location. My work is art based but I am also open to commercial based projects.
