"… And I, cheerful, hang around alone in the streets, at ease And do you know why? I’ll tell you: Because, after all, I’m an orphan! (…) And say: ha-ha-you can’t beat an orphan!" This is the song of Mordechai Gebirtig called "An Orphan". All his songs touch me so deeply. But this one especially - this sweet innocence of the naive child put against the horrible, aggressive world of adults. All Gebirtig's songs bring Chagall's paintings to my mind, but this picture was inspired more by Francisco's Goya "The Third of May 1808", where contrast of colors and composition stress the horror of war and aggression between people. Size (original) with a 5,5 cm white margin on each side: 25x21cm - 14x10cm without margin. Painting: digital - giclée print, Digigraphie by Epson Paper: Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm (certificate) Copies: 25 hand-signed by artist and numbered in front (certificate of authenticity / embossed stamp)

Art is giving birth to creation. No matter what would I create it will always be art. I love to paint, it is like falling into a trans state and giving life to your own world, world of colors and figures from your imagination. They always have their own story, which reveals to me the more I look at them. I love to create illustrations and then give them new life animating their movement. Sometimes I dance and even happened that I performed in a theater. I love to dream and imagine things, so many people ask me to guide them into so-called inner journeys or visualizations. ---------------------------------------------------- Justyna Rosa is an artist, graduated from the Departments of Painting and Arts Education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow; a painter, designer and animator, working for a variety of companies in Poland and Europe, amongst them Phoenix Press, Donnelley Polish American Printing Company, RMF.fm, OpusB, adHeads, Sephora, Hyundai, Idea Bank and many others.
