About The Artwork
Inspiration certainly comes from Gjon Mili, Picasso, Étienne-Jules Marey and Georges Demeny. Made by using a unique combination of long exposure light painting photography (from a DSLR) and digital art techniques. The resulting artwork is fairly abstract, but has some form too (in the shape of a little bear). I have made the bear look quite cute, but for some reason it is angry. Who upset my cute little bear? I choose light painting as a base for my digital artwork so there is a tactile element involved in it's creation. The results are more vibrant too, compared with many artworks with standard digital beginnings. Although my style is dark and full of contrast, hinting at the effects produced by chiaroscuro, there is a sense of humour. This art would likely suit fans of science fiction, the macabre or fantasy.
