My inspiration for this work came after visiting the beautiful arid lands of Broken Hill in western NSW. The gorgeous red/orange soils and waxy low shrubs give way to the most beautiful landscape. Arid blooms is an abstract view of this glorious landscape. Using big loose brush strokes and raw charcoal the vast expanse of space can be felt.
