In 2022 I was working on my artistic research called "Races with the cyborgs". It is no wonder that in 2022 I'm curious to rethink the relationship between a human being and the advancement of technologies, coming back again to the fundamental question, what does it mean to be a human? In this artwork you can see a man running the lap, he has artificial legs ("blade"), it's a reference to "Bladerunner" - both a movie and a racer Oscar Pistorius. The racing lap goes through the cube with the symbol of eternity, also now in our minds associated with "Meta" ("Facebook Metaverse"). Inside the racing lap we can see a green figure of a being, with white object attached to its head. That object is a Neuralink. In the very back we can see the face of the Frankenstein. All this piece is doing is contemplating how altering our bodies is developing through the years. Above the head of the Frankenstein might be the next phase - uploading one's consciousness to the device / online / on the cloud, in attempt to be immortal by technological means. I want to rise the question, even if we COULD do something like that, SHOULD we? How many steps of modification we can take till we lose our humanness and become a cyborg?
