Body Artwork

This piece was inspired by the song "Bodies" by British folk/pop artist Sivu. The lyrical content explores human nature and the music evokes a dark, almost primal mood. Yet there is something soothing about the depth it takes you to and listening to it makes one feel, almost, more human. For me, the song made me reflect on the disparity between human hearts and spirits and human actions. That humans are capable of great darkness but also beauty is quit amazing to me. Translating these thoughts into something visual is shown through the multitude of warm and cool tones. And having the colours bleed into one another is symbolic of the simultaneous existence of light and dark within humans, within ourselves.
