The title of this work refers to the general composition of the image, in which the female character who is the subject almost merges with the background in front of which she stands: the contours are not clear, this tattooed woman does not seem becoming one with the gray wall, it is difficult to distinguish from it, just as a chameleon is difficult to distinguish from its environment. The osmosis between the tattoo, the woman and the background gives the impression of a mural whose bottom is already beginning to fade. This artwork was made in mixed technique on canvas and combines photography, digital composition and acrylic painting (transparent glazes and a signature square in relief). This is a unique piece. It is framed in black wood (total dimensions: approximately 85 x 55 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 60 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
