About The Artwork

Color Exploration II explores form, balance, color and texture, and is inspired by a color palette from Sanzo Wada's (1883-1967) A Dictionary of Color Combinations. This series of 4 pieces (8x8" each) is made from upcycled fabric that I hand-dyed, sewed together and stretched over wooden frames.

Jillian Tackaberry is a Chicago based artist and designer. Her project ,Eomykota, focuses on creating artwork from upcycled fabric that she dyes, paints and sews together to create colorful, reflective compositions. The geometric elements in her work are defined by precision, while the ink drips and abstract bush strokes are loose and gestural. Together they work to create depth and evoke a sense of balanced dualism.
