The female figure reclining on a velvet cushion holds lavender which spiritually means calm, in ancient Egypt where the plant was used for cosmetic purposes and as an embalming product. In this sense, it adopts the concept of eternity and beauty. The Greeks for their part were the first to use lavender flowers for perfume. From this time, lavender begins to symbolize femininity and refinement.
