Akihiro Boujoh (b.Nagasaki, Japan / based in Utrecht) is a Japanese visual artist who works with sculpture, installation art, and photography. Akihiro lives and works in Utrecht, the Netherlands since after finishing his MFA Fine Art at Wimbledon College of Art in 2016. Rooted in his BA research into Japanese garden philosophy at Kyoto Institute of Technology, he explores the relationship between nature, environment, and human-kind and much of his works are concerned with space and time that is changing their form time by time. His collections of works have been exhibited nationally and internationally. He has received a number of honours including Hopper Prize 2020, Aesthetica Art Prize 2022 and Brixton Art Prize 2022.
