About The Artwork
Winterlight falling through a crochet curtain onto an old photograph. This is one of a series of three portrait I did of my aunt who died at the age of 15 in 1945 of TB. Through intervieuws and a few remaining old photographs I pieced together a memoir of her for myself and younger generations . This is about loneliness, isolation, fear and sparkles of hope. And about reconnecting and love.
