It's HerStory isn't just about creating art; it's about sharing the powerful and inspiring stories of women who've shown incredible valour and resilience throughout history. This portrait series brings those untold stories to life with monochromatic shades and compelling strokes, inviting us into a world where every woman's story is celebrated. Tucked into the Minangkabau Monochrome Collection with its earth-toned colours, these artworks create a deep, natural connection to the earth. They invite you to reflect and share your own stories and histories. Minangkabau headdresses hold deep cultural significance, symbolising the rich heritage of the Minangkabau culture with their characteristic horn-like protrusions representing the revered buffalo horns associated with strength and unity. The artist purposefully keeps facial details vague, turning these figures into universal symbols of female strength and their vital roles in our shared history. This series is all about celebrating womanhood and its undeniable impact on history, symbolising progress, empowerment and overcoming challenges. Join our movement that uplifts important voices of women that have shaped our past and will lead our future. Supporting It's HerStory isn't just about preserving heritage and empowering women; it's about being part of a community dedicated to highlighting stories of perseverance and strength.

Malaysia
A self-taught artist based in Malaysia, my work is an embodiment of celebration, empowerment and cultural richness where every canvas tells a tale of female strength and beauty. Tracing my maternal lineage to the Royal family of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, I honour Minangkabau customs and traditions that define Negeri Sembilan's rich cultural heritage. Extraordinary and distinct, Minangkabau culture is defined by its unique matrilineal system where inheritance and property are passed down through the women, underlining their important role in preserving their heritage. In homage to my roots, my artwork captures the essence of my heritage. Debuting with my Monochrome Collection, I spotlight the iconic Minangkabau headdresses, which symbolise feminism and women's empowerment. My hope is for viewers to engage in a meaningful dialogue about the importance of preserving our cultural heritage, the crucial role women play in societies and to inspire feelings of joy, optimism and a sense of empowerment in each viewer. Each piece I create goes on a journey, weaving a visual story that links the past and present by blending tradition with modern flair. My art is driven by a belief in the progressive power of femininity and a firm conviction that the future is undeniably female. Welcome to my world where heritage, empowerment and art seamlessly come together.
