Jaguar XJ220 - Azure Artwork

The Jaguar XJ220 is a mid-engined supercar that held the world's fastest production car title (measured by top speed) from 1992 until 1994. The title was taken by the McLaren F1 after it went into production. The name XJ220 is a reference to the top speed of the car. The XJ220 was originally intended to use a V12 and become a AWD Group B car that would compete with the Porsche 959 and Ferrari F40. Jaguar's V12 was replaced by a 3.5L twinturbo V6 due to strict emission regulations and the AWD system was dropped, which resulted in the car's rear wheel drive.
