It is well-known that artistic postmodernism has established the rules since the Seventies, when the many faces of neo-expressionism (warm in the pictorial tradition, cold according to the post-dadaist expressive models) defined the perimeter of quotation and systematic reutilisation. All right, until here. Yet, one aspect had not been taken into careful consideration: digital culture would have reset the models of elaboration and fruition, giving an artificial nature to postmodernism, as if reutilisation created a “second life”, similar to the first one (the actual life), and at the same time autonomous, a mirror of what nowadays goes under the name of open source culture.
