About The Artwork
This diptych on two sheets of strong Arches paper is a one of a kind monotype created in Bali Indonesia. I hand printed jungle flora with oil paint and water based dyes. Hand printing means keeping the back of the paper wet while using just one tool, a rice spoon, to create enough pressure by carefully hand rubbing to transfer the image seamlessly to the paper. The content and subject of the work is the divine creative inspiration, light and spirit of Bali. Signature, title and date on back.
