About The Artwork

OKLAD Dialogue between Juan Carlos Delgado and Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar The archetypes or first forms, the primary constituents without embellishments, the form before the definition of the form, the first state as genesis, architecture as a transitory support of memory, color as raw material for the elaboration of mental landscapes, the juxtaposition of materials to obliterate superfluous content and grant full existence to the form within its own parameters, the artisan exercise of the re-construction of spaces of memory and its redefinition at the intersection of two architectures. THE DEATH OF SURFACE FORMS WITH PARTICULAR CHARACTERISTICS. The common point between the different Art disciplines – architecture and design. The intersection of two architectures as the intersection of two systems of thought to generate new plastic realities, without, despite one's own effort; manage to detach the pieces and the discourse from the metaphysical realm, searching for pure reality and formal autonomy, the wall is a deaf wall, the lead oxide silences it more and more, an unuttered cry, a murmur installed in the memory (it revives then the voice of the dead and of the ruins, enunciates its words again), a huge reliquary, with an elusive and indecipherable relic, immaterial at the same time... Pictorial references, Robert Ryman, Armando Reverón, Ana Mercedes Hoyos, Barnett Newman, Rotchko, Anish Kapoor, the Kaaba….A sun appears in the corner….
