About The Artwork

Pleading for a new hope The sixth work in the covid 19 series is inspired by all the helping hands and the solidarity of the peoples all around that would bring with them this confidence like wisps of some fresh breeze carrying on their wings however small that stimulant of a new chapter to a fresh start and a promise that all is not lost. The minimal and severe graphics that I used are meant to suggest that there still remains a tiny spark of faith however small in the promise of the expectations in future life. The colours too have their importance. The dark corners symbolise the lost hopes whereas the limited use of green and blue represent the anticipation that help will come.

Born 1954 India Now have my art studio in Angers in France.Have been painting and etching for more than 25 years. My inspiration comes from my working experience with S.W.Hayter and other contemperory artists like Krishna Reddy. Now do mainly digital works like painting and printmaking. For this I have developed a new form of new media prints using digitalized technique and maroufled onto a heavy art paper of at least 300 gms. After the transfer by marouflage of the printed onto the heavy art paper it is once again worked on by the artist to obtain the art effect and printed in a limited edition of 8 prints + 1 artist's proof, with signature and number. The paintings also are digital works on art paper that has been maroufled onto a canvas that is signed by me. All work is done by me in my personal art studio in Angers in France. The work is mostly inspired from my ramblings in the countryside and the sensation or feelings thus produced which I try to share with the spectators of my works.
