ABOUT THE ARTWORK

In “Echoes of Her Essence,” I sought to bring to life a woman who embodies everything I admire about the feminine spirit: its rebellion, its unrelenting strength, and its ability to endure and shine through the complexities of life. This piece was deeply personal for me—I wanted her to feel alive, as if her gaze could meet yours and pull you into her world, one filled with both turmoil and triumph. Her face, painted with painstaking realism, is a reflection of my fascination with human expressions and emotions. The gold accents were my way of celebrating her worth, her radiance, and the parts of us that shine brightest even in the darkest moments. The black, abstract patches around her symbolize the chaos and struggles that shape us—not as limitations, but as part of our story. Her bold jewelry is not just adornment; it’s armor, a declaration of self-expression and power. This piece was not just about creating a portrait—it was about crafting a presence, a connection. I painted her as if she were a mirror to the women I’ve admired in my life and the rebellion I’ve felt in myself. Every brushstroke was a dialogue between the realistic and the abstract, between vulnerability and resilience. The original painting is created with professional-grade oil paints on high-quality canvas, enriched with shimmering gold details that catch the light differently throughout the day. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring its uniqueness and my personal commitment to its craftsmanship.

Cornelia Dudca - Surreal Realism / Conceptual Symbolism Cornelia Dudca is a dedicated visual artist with 12 years of experience creating evocative works that blend conceptual depth, symbolic intricacy, and figurative beauty. Her artistic journey began at the age of eight, studying at the Alexei Starcea School of Music & Art in her home country of Moldova. Now based in Amsterdam, Cornelia is pursuing a full-time career in art while simultaneously working toward her second degree in Media, Art, Design, and Architecture at VU Amsterdam. There, she immersed herself in painting, drawing, sculpture, and the rich history of art. From curating her first solo exhibition at 15 to producing a more intricate showcase at 21, her artistic journey has been both dynamic and deeply personal. Over the years, she managed to balance academic pursuits with a thriving artistic practice, channeling her creativity into various disciplines. Whether weaving artistic social movements into economic research at university or organizing painting workshops, her work reflects a diverse, interconnected perspective on life and art. She has been honored to complete commissions for both private collectors and institutions since the age of 16. Currently, she is works with bespoke works tailored to any space or vision. Her commission prices begin at €450, reflecting the detail, quality and emotional investment she brings to each piece. Cornelia’s work is deeply rooted in ideals of freedom, curiosity, and duality - exploring contrasts like love and nostalgia, happiness and melancholy. The contrasting interplay of these emotions fuels her spirit, what makes her paintings a reflection of the beauty and complexity of human experience. She always said that - the artist should have the ability “to think” besides mastering painting techniques. Therefore, she tends to illustrate deeply philosophical and symbolic approaches to concepts that may seem simplistic at first glance, something that evokes her deep interest in studying culture and symbolic elements. Philosophy, mysticism, surrealism, and the allure of la femme fatale are recurring themes in her art.
