Smiles and Horns Artwork

Inspiration certainly comes from Gjon Mili, Picasso, Étienne-Jules Marey and Georges Demeny. Made by using a unique combination of long exposure light painting photography (from a DSLR) and digital art techniques.The resulting artwork is fairly abstract, but it has some form too (in the shape of a purple head from a demonic creature). I have made the creature happy and with big eyes, but could there perhaps be something more sinister behind that smile? I choose light painting as a base for my digital artworks so there is a tactile element involved in their creation. The results are more vibrant too, compared with many artworks that have standard digital beginnings. Although my style is dark and full of contrast, hinting at the effects produced by chiaroscuro, there is a sense of humour. This art would likely suit fans of science fiction, the macabre or fantasy.
