Tania is a multi-media artist, designer and interiordesigner, located in Trondheim, Norway. Her creative expression finds inspiration through her interdisciplinary approach to all designs, illustrations and paintings. With a wide background in both the sciences and the arts, she provides the viewer with great amusement and interest. An instinctive closeness to beauty and the struggle for survival is at work in the original artwork of Winther. Although she has studied design, illustration and graphic design, she is a autodidact painter. Her passions expand to using a multitude of mediums and materials in her creative process. Gathering samples through taking memory shots through a camera lens. on a site, a person or a place, often leads to inspiration for a new canvas or design. Finding quircky, deformed samples in nature through rocks, sand and driftwood is awe-inspiring for Winther's new ideas. "Ugliness is beauty by another name. Its essence is as pure as that of beauty. Its significance is no less important than beauty. Ugliness and beauty share the same core of being." Winther's guiding principle's are: 1.-The stage of methamorphosis and it's beauty. 2 –We are here and now and never there and then. 3 –Giving objects new contexts and contexts new objects 4 –The art of suffering. Suffering is an artform. Having being raised almost nomandic, traveling the world and living in several countries, since a child, definitely puts an imprint in your mind and makes you see the world a little differently. I have often found that my observations and impressions of things in the everyday life, can greatly differ from others impressions. I am here and this is me expressing myelf and how I see the world.
