About The Artwork
I was commissioned to create a series of paintings for an art installation themed as Noah's Ark. This collection was inspired by that project. It expresses my vision of what the world would look like if sea levels rose to the point of no return. The Flood is dedicated to all the species that would be affected by climate change. I hope it makes one pause and feel for a moment what it might be like to suddenly lose our natural habitat.

I was born and raised in the former Soviet Union, where I studied fine art since age seven. In the late 80s, my family and I emigrated to the US and settled in Chicago, where I attended School of the Art Institute of Chicago and became a graphic designer and then an art director at a large advertising agency. I have since moved to Toronto, Canada, where I've been living for the past 18 years, and working as an illustrator and author.
