Money is meaningless, gold is old, and diamonds are just rocks. The hustle is the only thing that’s real. This work is part of a series titled, "Loose Change." Humor and a mixture of faux and real currency were used in the creation of each piece. Someday all currency will just be digital numbers in a database so these works are my way of celebrating, critiquing and preserving physical money.

My work is often funny, and a little tacky. Sometimes it's profound; but it's ALWAYS bright, bold, and probably covered in glitter. When I'm in my studio I'm mostly daydreaming. All my work comes from dreaming. And from those meditative moments I gather what I think I'll need, and start creating. There's usually no plan, just an idea and a few short notes. I let my instincts take care of the rest. Each work becomes what it wants itself to be. It evolves and adapts, like all living things.
