They say Biology and history is what controls the world. Let’s talk about history, history is basically written HIS-STORY, meaning your story, our story. Every individual has his/her own story that’s capable of changing if not the world ,then ourselves that’s if we consciously pay attention to the stories we write about ourselves. Humans are the only species that see their lives in a straight line; ie (past,present ,future ). Most of us try very hard to ignore the past, pay no attention to the present and waste most of their time imagining the future even tho it doesn’t exist yet. And you if think about it, it’s the past and the present that makes up the future, so what am trying to say is if we pick up the lesson in our past and pay attention to the present we might create a beautiful and a happy future. We may have had very rough past, maybe our childhood wasn’t that sweet, or our previous relationships may not have been diamonds and roses, but it’s what made us today. You see, the gem thats supposedly going to make our future great as we always imagine is in the past and the Present. So this masterpiece (THE ROSE THAT GREW THE CONCRETE) highlights or is to remind us that, the moment in our history that we thought was bad or rough was actually a concrete grounds but since we are roses, there is nothing that’s gonna gonna stop us from growing. We might bloom late but we will definitely bloom beautifully as we are now. As our Elders always say “ Even if you water the flower with dirty water, it will still grow.” So the question am using this artwork to ask you is. HOW WAS YOUR PAST LIKE? WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW? WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT THE FUTURE?. Dig deep into these stories you ve been writing and still writing, cus everything expensive / priceless is always hidden deep down and we only find it according to how deep we dig.
