Brian Coleman describes his creation process as a transformative practice necessary for new work. He began experimenting with digital art in 2019 where he was drawn to the medium’s ability to depict remarkable environments. As an artist, Brian is heavily influenced by social norms and uses his life experience to explore humanity through a science fiction lens. Grand figures that convey strength, beauty, and significance are a common theme in his work. As an artist, I present images that inspire me. Art allows the freedom to shift my focus between different mediums and subjects, real or abstract. I began drawing, painting and sculpting in high school. I felt like a door had opened and I was becoming acquainted with a future version of myself that I previously did not know existed.
