Beautifying the Edible Artwork - Limited Edition of 1

I have just graduated from Oxford Brookes University. During this period I spent a lot of time in hospital. This made working challenging especially practically, however I was determined to finish and feel the success of the work is both in the concept and the material. I have enjoyed working with mixed media and exploring the possibilities of making exciting work out of live material. I have also worked with projections, video art, performance, sculpture & installation. My practice has a highly personal, autobiographical starting point. I have a complex gastic condition, consequently I am unable to tolerate food orally. I have a jejunum feeding tube and have a liquid feed over night. I use iconic materials such as tripe and caul fat. I explore other people's relationships to food in relation to my own. At the same time as exploring the void/ absence of food and beautifying the edible.
