About The Artwork
An intriguing mix of red silk, paper, mortar, silver leaf, ink, acrylics and coffee were used to create this thought-provoking 3-dimensional assemblage. The tags hang freely to add a bit of life to the luminous silvery textured red silk. They were purposely sewn in a non symmetrical fashion, and purposefully left to intrude below into the frame area. At the top are the words "Bucket List" stamped freely at a jaunty angle with brown ink. It is then lovingly encased in a glorious golden antique looking frame. If you have need for a piece in a specific size or colour palette Lisa cheerfully welcomes custom commissions. Each of Lisa Bolin's pieces is a one-of-a-kind original artwork. Lisa Bolin was raised on the western edge of Missouri in a small town drugstore. (And, yes, it did have a soda fountain.) Missouri is filled with honest and hard-working people, and Lisa adopted that strong work ethic which continues to propel her achievements to this day. A life-long journey as an artist has taken Lisa down many career paths: jewelry-making, graphic design, the realm of commercial photography, sculpting and painting. For the past two decades, Lisa has worked freelance as a set stylist or food stylist on high-profile food photography projects and TV commercials. In her spare time, she enjoys petting puppies and growing vegetables. Lisa Bolin’s paintings are in collections across the globe.
