About The Artwork

This painting is a tribute to the message of Peace On Earth and the Great Mystic Teacher Christ who brought it. Christ's Main Message was for us to practice Peace On Earth and Goodwill toward our fellow humans. That seems like a pretty hard thing for us humans to do because it entails letting go of fear, anger, jealousy and resentment. Most of us don't enjoy those feelings and Modern Medical Knowledge tells us that we will be more healthy by not holding onto such things. I'm always amazed when I think that Christ's beautiful insight into psychology was given to us nearly 2000 years ago, long before Freud or modern day psychologists thought they had discovered these things.. This work was created from a colored drawing I made on paper, then h I scanned and worked on in a digital format.

Painting and sculpting for over 50 years. Started in the early 1960's. Joined the Merchant Marines in my early twenties and set off to paint and draw around the world. Hitchhiked around Europe and Morocco for about a year and met wonderful artists in many places. Highlight was visiting Salvador Dali at his home in Spain. Back in the 70's it was much safer to hitchhike and camp out as you journeyed and I ventured around for about a year meeting wonderful young artists. Through the years, I've worked many jobs, in factories, offices etc. Eventually became a general contractor, however, the one thing I always did was keep my love of painting and sculpting. Had many art shows in the Los Angels area for about 30 years, managed to break new ground every once in a while, get acclaimed in the Art Realm for 15 seconds by the media, then relegated back onto the treadmill. Such is the life of artists who are in it for the Long Run. It's Cool, Is what it is and I've no complaints.
