About The Artwork

My work investigates the geological time scale known as "Warrasic Period" that spans from about 1600 to 2000 AD. The name Warrasic is indicative of the invention of weaponry, war paraphernalia and its consumption. During the course of the Warrasic Period, all the dangerous and threatening animals (referring to killing weapons) invaded Earth, resulting in the unavoidable mass destruction and extinction of the ferocious creatures. The possible explanation for their extinction could be due to the changed perceptions and temperaments of human beings. Near the end of the Warrasic Period (1900-2000 AD), human beings became much more tolerant and lived peacefully amongst one another. Gradually over time, weapons were no longer in use. My work consists of a museum that will present archeological fossils that I have discovered in different parts of the world, in the form of sculptural relief, digital print and publication, belonging to the Warrasic Period. The museum will allude to the idea that there is no functioning weapon found today, however they only exist as fossils.
