Plur@l bodies. Limited edition of 25 Artwork

CUERP@S PLUR@LES / Plur@l Bodies is a new media project aims to recover the tactile dimension of communication lost in the Digital Age as well as to emphasize the other forgotten senses, such as touch, smell or hear. In this series of photographs, the human body is immersed in an internal and external struggle within contemporary societies represented by a black elastic band that compress bodies. These twisted bodies show us areas of the body where there are natural folds, wrinkles, scars, stretch marks or simply birthmarks. The visual, goes to the bottom by fragmentation but at the same time the bodies hybridize, intertwine and interconnect into a social body, an intersubjetivity. The black and white analogical photographs are scanned and then combined digitally with a short palette of colors, mostly blacks, grays and reds in which photographic techniques and digital painting mixes up aiming to indicate the plasticity of the human body and how the human race faces the important challenges that await us in this Digital Era.
