A fascination for time and space and history inspired this piece. It is a dedication to my two children. These are clocks that I have used, all surpassed by the digital age. The albino cricket was found by a trash bin. Because of it's white colour it could not be seen by the birds between the bits of garbage on the ground. How much time does the cricket have?

Thom entered the Vancouver School of Art (now Emily Carr University of Art + Design) in 1969 to pursue his continuing photography work. There he was introduced to sculpture and found the world of 3D. BCIT led to a career working with the major architectural firms in Vancouver. Retiring from architecture in 2004, he returned to his first love, the 2D world of Photomontage Art.
