Titan, eclipse, William Blake, No. 4 - Limited Edition 1 of 1 Artwork

The work is inspired by a photograph of Saturn's moon Titan, taken by the Cassini Satellite. I take the raw image and overlay it with red dots representing biometric data - in this case my heartbeat, measured at the time the Satellite took the picture. The visualisation is inspired by William Blake's poem: "To see a World in a Grain of Sand And a Heaven in a Wild Flower Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand And Eternity in an hour" So it's a collage in terms of time - and materials (A giclee print of a digitally generated image), hand-finished with graphite, silverleaf and enamel paint.
